The education funding included in the stimulus package was meant to help states get through the tough times, and provide funding for new initiatives (like early childhood education).  It seems some states are using the stimulus funds as a cover to slash millions from their own education budgets. Hmmm…  Can you really build a stronger economy for the future if you keep cutting our schools off at the knees?
