Organizing Objectives: Winning Power to Transform Public Education in America
The mission of Education Voters is to create the political will and accountability to make creating a world class public education system for all American children a priority for public officials. In pursuing this mission, our organizing objectives are to:
• Develop a permanent broad base of supporters in state legislatures and Congress
• Cultivate champions in state legislatures and both houses of Congress
• Hold legislators accountable for their positions on education policy
• Help reshape the debate about education policy so that education is recognized as a core national value supported by the Federal Government as well as state and local governments
• Demonstrate effectiveness and make Education Voters influential in both education and political circles
• Regularly update and communicate the Pre-K to Grade 16 National Education Agenda to reflect the latest knowledge and best practices
• Create a national fundraising and membership base to make the organization and its agenda a sustainable institution
